Jive v. Jibe.

if you came of intellectual age after the 70’s, then you don’t know what these mean. You probably think this makes sense:

I’m no Cocoa/Obj-C cheerleader, but this doesn’t jive with what most people who use Cocoa say about it.

And it does make sense. It makes sense if you think that JIVE is JIBE. Of course, the word has changed. One was dropped (jibe) and its meaning has become the meaning of (jive). So we loose another distinction. One word takes over the semantic position of another.
