Many too many companies think they need software. Think that if only I had “SalesForce” installed, then I’d have more sales. What you need before you need software is people. Most sales failures are because of a failure of connection, not a failure to contact. No SalesForce beats a working field sales force. Ever. Your customer doesn’t and shouldn’t care whether you are using “salesforce dot com” or shoe box in trunk to keep their records. Just keep the meeting, their confidence and your promises.
