Someday you will listen to your parents music, and understand it. You’re old. I was just listening to the theme music used by Bob Hope on his USO tours, maybe in other places, but I don’t know. He and his troupe came to Vetnam (yep that’s what I said). The arrival was a big deal, probably more for the girls (round eyes) than his humor. I had a pass to the show, and the time off, but I didn’t go. Instead I visited the local dog patch (check with your local vet for translation) where the women were real, even if they were pretending. The comfort of pretending romance can overcome better than the pretend of song and dance.

The memory of all that, oh no they can’t take that away from me.
