During tonight’s drum and strife chorus on CNBC, Jack Welch visited to offer opinions. Among them we hear that “some union goons” could force unionization of shops. That would be bad, but worse is that the goons from the union would intimidate you poor small business owner. Maybe you should think about arming your managers to defend GE from union goons while there is still time.
The hosts nodded. Like those bobble head puppets in cars that goons sometimes drive.
Mr. Welch also was able to assert that taxes in the state that GE was in were so high that they were causing unemployment. Fortunately for GE, since they moved from that high tax state, they aren’t suffering from layoffs or increased unemployment. Too bad that GE didn’t move to the lowest tax state. Too bad that the CNBC goons were so thrilled to hear what they wanted to hear, that they never asked why GE didn’t move to the lowest tax state.
