do the following:
1) Make sure your Epson printer is turned on and connected to your computer via a USB cable
2) Go to Apple menu > System preferences and click Print & Fax
3) Select your Epson printer in the list and click the “-” button under the list to delete it
4) Go to http://www.epson.com/cgi-bin/Store/support/SupportLeopard.jsp and download the latest drivers for your printer.
5) Install the new drivers
6) Go back into Print & Fax and click the “+” button to add a new printer
7) See if your printer shows up with the proper driver this time.
