Introduction to a larger world increases anxiety, like a suppressed agoraphobia. Making access easier agoraphizes many professions and cultures.
As you enter the larger world you feel smaller or larger. Most people eventually feel smaller. Even the large become small among the wider. Wonder is that anyone hides their fear. Lucky they have a past grander than their present to hold onto.
Blogs show us human writing, rhetoric and reasoning wider than our professional publishers and writers. Imaging increasingly has taken to web. The newest quickly disseminates, dissolves.
The ‘democratization’ of art, writing, even research asks more of our old professions of create and distribute. They aren’t up to it. Yet they can’t get out of the way. like failed old growth all they can do is stand and rot. Rot so slowly they don’t even contribute to new growing sprouts.
This new democracy reveals the horrid jellied spine of our old talent, that it is luck not talent that is rewarded. Access was all and only what they have. All they have is us. They never had imagination or talent.
