Try to buy at an online bookstore and it is easy. Ecommerce has been the darling of consulting firms since the 1990s. The graduates of HBS, among others, taking high place positions in most of the losers. Consider the following event as semaphore of what these schools can produce in the real world. That world they think about, more importantly, that world they presume to have prepared you for. Consider this, in as much as you have prepaid for this preparation.
Found a PDF at HBS that I want to buy, so I registered and tried to buy. No success. Over the weekend I tried several times more. Every time the elite school’s systems develop an “internal server error.” Not a good sign. Today I persisted, trying again. And again getting the same “internal server error” in response to my simple request to sign in and buy a $7 item.
