What Makes This Photo?
Not a trick question.
I don’t mean the photo of the magazine opened on a textured white. Nope, I mean what this is pictured on the magazine spread. A portrait — fairly standard, male light. Well controlled. And a Headline tag.
Which, if removed, would alter the image, losing the impact you first felt?
Me too. This is a photograph of words., the ‘picture’ is secondary. Replace it with other photos.. how about of a toy duck? little girl at lemonade stand? dying whale on beach? crack-whore in tity Vogue?
