lets do an experiment:
using two panes of glass stacked several inches apart, you know green house like. place one thermometer outside the glass, and one inside the glass box… notice the difference in temperatures?? Okay, now lets make this even more interesting.
Now that you have the idea of a glass box, lets extend it to say a box with glass that we all drive around in, our car… drive your car to the mall. take your favorite plant, pet and child with you.

Park the car in the sun. Leave a thermometer in the car, with your favorite plant, pet and child. Put another thermometer in your pocket while you walk around the mall for a couple of hours…. What do you estimate the temperature difference will be when you return to your favorite plant, pet and child?
Even though the SUN was the source of energy, it wasn’t the reason the energy was trapped. Trapped along with your favorite plant, pet and child. It was your choice to ignore the obvious. Your action caused the energy trap.
