Because the IDE doesn’t always show you correct REALbasic syntax. Events fall into that category. This is done to abstract away some of the scarier parts of the language from users, but once you start to get into more complex things (RBScript comes to mind), then you’ll see “true” RB syntax. — Aaron Ballman [ref]
