Another proposal that I have circulated is that of a debate between the top 3 candidates among the two parties. Six candidates on stage addressing each other or each “side” of an issue. I can think of advantages to doing this before the electorate, but even as much as I wish it could be done, I doubt it will be. It seems less and less likely that the citizens, the fifth estate or the candidates want to be seen in a debate that would reveal interactions without faking division.
