What has been said… many times. War is hell.
what it means: War makes devils, not heros.
“What our enemy does is far worse. Beheadings, dragging bodies and such. Youtube is full of those videos.” what it means: Our devils aren’t seen as often as your devils.
“Leadership failed them.”
Nope, their training freed them, unleashed them, and now, they stand with limp dicks in their hands and grin. Smile for the camera and for their future memorial. These are the dogs of war, just a few of them caught on tape.
I bet that, if you looked at the thousands of battle images, made by our heros, you’d retch.
not because of the horrors, but because of the amoral glee. Of course they are young, and they are doing our war. Dragging us down into their fox hole. But remember, in the first week of war, we set out our terms. Kill em all. Let the lawyers take the blame.
A hundred thousand dead. 300 Taliban killed. Still counting. Someday, maybe next week, these heros will set out onto the streets of your town. Remember, they do this for you.
