When the songs just shifted I thought Springsteen was on. And having a great lyric. Not his teenager. Not his all american disappointment … Nope, it was so atypical I goog’d to see the author. Not him. Not even his song…
And so to understand a better lyric is to discover a different author.

Not onlly was the lyric different, the guitar stood out, without coverup. Without taking over the harmony. Without destroying the tone of the lyric. The guitar was more than sound added to the song, it was another voice added to the music.
