Fuji started making Leica-like medium format rangefinder camera in 1968 with the introduction of the Fujica G690 with the interchageable lenses, 50mm, 65mm, 100mm, 150mm and 180mm. The system went through several generations, the GW670 and the GW690 in 1978, the GSW690 in 1980, the GW670II, the GW690II and the GSW690II in 1985 and in 1992 Fuji introduced the final models, the GW690III, GSW690III, and GW670III.
