Printing processes involving “transfer” can fall into one of three principal categories. Planographic, in which the original surface is flat. Matrix, in which the originating (or plate) surface is raised. The third is an “incised” surface, such as intaglio.
This triumph of relations hits me as like math operations which can only “increase,” “decrease,” or “leave the same” after action.
yet another breakout:
- relief
- intaglio
- planographic
