I lived in Bridgeville, an 8 hour drive from Chestnut street, so I stayed at the institute for the 2 days I was in town, each week.

Me: I keep books by every chair. I read when I sit; I write while a walk. It’s the way I keep going.

teaching is for idlers

teaching art may be the only humane way of living an art filled life, but it destroys. it destorys your life. makes you life easy. european vacations on the special study program’s account. Look at the the work tenured faculty produce over 30 years. when was the good stuff?
