I do love salt water cities. They have such great used bookstores.

Why can’t you define art? Can you define ‘up,’ or ‘there,’ or ‘blue?’ These are all words without solid, singular, unambiguous interpretation, yet you use them easily, comfortably, seemingly without any concern that you will step over a line, or worse, be restricted to being constrained by the lines.

Set yourself free. Define art; then redefine it as needed.

Does art have a role?

Is it private, for the artist only, or is it a public, societal one?

Can art be strictly defined or partitioned?

I operate as though I have answers to these questions; I have to, otherwise they would keep me in bed, unable to sleep.
