America is great. Great for many reasons. Perhaps the greatest is that even lousy hunters, such as Richard Cheney are able to enter the woods with a full wallet, a full chamber, and an even fuller stomach. We are a nation of hunters without any need for skill. A full stomach makes it so much easier to make claims on our right to kill. What makes it more enriching is that we are able to kill without any need. Our only hunger is being in the woods with other killers. Watch were you point that Dick.

The right is taking on a Hollywood fantasy. With fiction it is easier to see the edge of the frame, but with the crop of Meroes strutting across the world stage it becomes difficult to know if they are fans or fanatics. That is, the new world leaders. Apocalypse Now was a movie framed to raise our understanding by raising questions about our easy bake warfare. That it is yet another movie for dormitory fun is just the way things go. Imagine it being watched and misunderstood by Putin as a little wannabe in Russia. Little boy Putin sees Robert Duvall and thinks, “I could do that.” 
And so he can. So he does.
But wait, the likes of Mr. Retouch My Love Handles Szarkozy will not be outdone. He too can give a heilo for the camera..
