the president was heckled by the southern jeckleman. Not news. What struck me was that the Prez failed to mention my suggestion.

Replace the Post Office with public health.

What I mean isn’t a slam against the PO nor a possible healthcare improvement. Nope, I meant it seriously. The GOPs want to privatize everything. We know that produces soviet style democracy — guns and dozers for the bodies. Billionaires overnight, bodies every night. Healthcare is not an economic good, so remove it from the market and replace it with postal services.

Let the insurance carriers become letter carriers. Fire the current post office employees. Use the great Thatcher’s rhetorical flourish “redundant” and get on with it. With the funds freed up from those salaries you will have plenty for health admins etc. Without a need for sales and marketing you save more than 25% a year.

The market fights over delivery schedules. Healthcare returns to a muzak moment.

Doctors wouldn’t notice a change in schedule. Nurses would have more coffee breaks. Admitting would be self serve. Like a said: Nice And Easy. Wonder why he ignored me, again.

Buying stuff from ebay is not just fun, cheap, dangerous and entertaining. It is downright instructional, in an internationalizing way. I never knew that what we did at X would spread so far. Not a clue about how many people needed to buy porn and pottery from around the world.

I won, if that’s what happened, two items last week. Both are costing more for shipping than my winning bid for the items. Anyhow, one is coming from Albany New York via USPS special tracking confirmation wowy zowy handling. The other is coming from Toronto Canada by way of canadian standard post. The US capitalist post office was to be able to deliver in a few days (3-5). The socialist Canadian post office said it could take 12 days to transit Canada then America to me here in little ole California.

Sure enough, the US Post office has lost the package. Actually they haven’t lost it, it has been mis-delivered. And it’s because some of their work is outsourced, such as well, we will talk about that in another post. During the US mis-delivered mail, the Canadians have shipped the package across Canada and delivered it to the US post office customs, in half the transit time. Package two now awaits loving capitalism’s loyal mounties to carry it to me, sometime, any day now.

Still waiting on outsourced capitalism to come through, to deliver my goods, so to speak.
