Perhaps (note only to myself) Brooks, during his teens didn’t understand the fronline interview… did not understand the genius of the poet ginsberg. came from a place where you have to like someone to understand them. came from a fear that to understand someone you will like them, will become them. so he took the easier path to the other guy in the interview, the moderator. buckley was easier to understand. the OED holds all the meanings, unlike the frames that poets use, the dictionary contains, explains or so it seems.

Time To Move
The big movements are accompanied by many small words, after all it is the small words that move people, that become the used, the cliched, the comfortable. For now it is time to dump “move forward.” In its place I am using “advance tape.” This has opened the possible use of “tape over” for changing the topic. The direct reference to “tape” has the additional value of seeming old (retro), direct (not elite) with the added benefit of lifting the skirt of the metaphor for those KSAs of limited range.
