One Big Loop

One Big Loop

Just back from another big loop. This one was to Sedona and back. We broke the “to section” into a 29 Palms Leg for day one. Left several very good shots behind the odometer. It always happens. Can’t stop here or can’t stop fast enough.

The Sedona stay over was meant to be a long rest, but became a set of trips around the area. Our return trip took the long route with a stay in Ridgecrest. After a night-over, we took a different route than Tehachapi back over the “hill” into the big valley of Route 5. Again left another dozen or so shots by the road.

It was hot, but everywhere it is over air-conditioned so the heat doesn’t exist until it hits you hard. This makes the 4- 8 AM time great. It also extends the day’s light into softer hues much longer. The long sun and heat waves break the desert air into layers. This is particularly true in the Cal deserts. They just seem bigger.

To San Fran For 3Bs

Into the city by train, then the great long way walk up to north beach. got lost, well only diverted, to yet another bun shop. can’t ever find the one that used to be. Maybe it wasn’t the best, but in my memory it was.

Instead we found one that seemed to think only in chinese and couldn’t get our hand waving, so we only got two buns instead of four. When we had our lunch at vesuvio we ran out of food before hunger so added to our hello kitty diet with a package of over priced, over salted, funstons. They are the definition of golden… And one for you:funston.jpg
