When you stand before nature what do you extract? When you stand on the rock what advantage does it give you; you it?
So often, like today, after seeing work by those big names, Sexton today, I ask myself to transform their question like this:

If they had used a recorder and microphone would it be music. If they stood there and recorded using increasing better microphones and recorders would what they did ever be called symphonic?

What is their transform? They took away the color. Is that why they don’t like, can’t see, contemporary photography, much of which requires color?
