When you say a bill to “reign in” the giants, do you repeat what they, the republicists said, then why not provide the direct quote. If you speak for them, do you know the basis of the trope, the cliche “reign in”.
I assume you must agree with them, that Fannie and Freddie are run away horses, running wildly or, perhaps, only aggressively out of your control. Are these companies, were these companies doing anything other than capitalism, making, as it were, use of economics commonisms that most learn in a large One Oh One classroom. They were public companies that failed. They were washed away in the republic’s tsunami. And they were taken under control by the only ship stable enough to do so, the ship of state. They were put under control of the government’s printing presses, the treasury department.
They have been under the reign of the state ever since.
