For Nothing Changes

In the whirl of a world, we stumble across specialties and places that cater to them. Places on the net that become local pools of politics, paradigms and philosophies. Many more, if counted, than could be found in Oxford-Stanford-Detroit-Ford. If we count them. If we speak in numbers. Do they make more or don’t they merely seem to be more.

One of those ponds I happened upon is a forum for digital photographers. They spend their time in focal length and pixel depth. Not that interesting, but there was a time. One that none of them would understand was when I wrote this, which became a very much bigger product. Which I suppose turned into something even more….

main(argc, argv)

char **argv;

{ int i;

src[CUROLD].pix = (unsigned char **) Emalloc(DEF_Y * sizeof(unsigned char *));

… and it goes on…

but nothing changes. Even though it always seems to.

and my point is only to point you to this, which has its own reasons for being interesting to me…

I am just a dreamer, but then you are just a dream– someone singing from long ago...

Another Big T Anomaly

On today’s news from Dallas, these two facts (journalist statements).

  1. Texas is the doing the best of the US states during the recession. Texas’ economy has fared better than any other state over the past two years.
  2. Texas ranks 49th in the nation on high school standardized test scores. (Remember this is the place that served as the model for “no child left behind” which many in congress shortened to “no child left.”)

    You quiz question: Does education mean economic success or failure?
