Counting Pictures

Using easy estimates, from memory, I note that Edward Weston produced 50,000 negatives (8×10). William Eggleston produced 500,000 images using roll film (transparency).

With these two facts as starting points, I wonder how many images will be captured during the career (say 30 years) of this digital era. Will they edit downward. If so, by how much? Will they ever know their own portfolio.

How will someone review their production in 30 years?
