using the epson 1400 with Eboni-6 inks as a BW only printing machine:

stages of growth…
1. start by using Epson driver (later change that)
2. then introduce ICCs to your procedures
3. use QTR only after needing something special in paper or alternative surface.

Epson Printing Preferences Settings:

“Photo RPM”
Under Color Management set:
Color Controls — checked
Gamma — 2.2 chosen
Color Mode: “EPSON Vivid

Sodium chloride 6 g (Iodized table salt was recommended)
Ascorbic acid 500 mg
Potassium iodide 16.5 g
Catalyst solution 9 ml
Distilled water to make 1 l

The catalyst solution was made by dissolving 1.0 g of 2,3-dimethylquinoxaline in 100 ml of 70 percent isopropanol (rubbing alcohol) and then adding 100 ml of distilled water.

The dye destruction bleach was followed by a most unusual blix:

EDTA Ferric 60 g
Ammonium thiocyanate 10 g
Sodiun sulfite (anh) 3 g
Ammonium thiosulfate (60%) 200 ml
Distilled water to make 1 l
