Keys To The Door

Startups sputter and fall. One wing is a rarity.

The ability to solve problems, at least business, organization, interaction kinds of problems, is easy for very few. To all the MBAs out there gasping in disbelief, I suggest you give yourself a few years before you suck in more of that air.

Two types of solvers are needed. The reason they should be in two different persons is diversity. Diversity beats redundancy in business. Nature abhors all the eggs in one basket method. Too bad that most financially successful people are so blind to new problems. It is understandable though, since their past great success has lead them to this point. They must wonder, how else could they be so rich if not by merit. If not by their own worth, their great skill, then what could it be? Surely it is with them still. This is their blind spot.

Nature knows, two good eyes, beat one very great eye.

God At The Door

Slams occur often in this overpriced place. Neighbors hustle in and out of their house, their car, their gated yards. They never think that doors they open are doors they must close. Used too much to the care of others. Used to pampering themselves, they run out the door, letting it close on its own.

The only risk in this, is that they never understand how doors work. Never realize their role in the man machine interaction. And someday God stops taking care. Someday, like today, when the wind gusts between storm fronts. Someday that door slams closed with over 500 pounds of force. The closes, crushing muscles, cracking bone, just slightly, but enough so they scream in pain. Scream loudly enough to cover the sound of the slamming door. At last. Remember please,

God hates being your doorman.

Handles have a purpose, and they weren’t put their by God.
