The lone star state is almost alone in being so easy on guns but so hard on beer. Maybe that’s a good idea, although I doubt that it was considered in that way. I think the Lone Stars are doing Gods work in holding both points on this star so brightly.

Another Big T Anomaly
On today’s news from Dallas, these two facts (journalist statements).
- Texas is the doing the best of the US states during the recession. Texas’ economy has fared better than any other state over the past two years.
- Texas ranks 49th in the nation on high school standardized test scores. (Remember this is the place that served as the model for “no child left behind” which many in congress shortened to “no child left.”)
