Try this on. Small cars account for 14% of collisions, and 24% of fatalities. The assumption is that small cars aren’t safe. The numbers, as given, make this easy to conclude. If you are in a collision, it is better to be in a bigger vehicle.
But why a collision. Two main scenarios: the small car darts in and out. is owned by low income stupid driver… the large car is full of loud talking, phone dialing tiny women with low manual dexterity and poor concentratiion.,.. both sets of scenarios give us one common result… bad drivers collide and the one in a tank lives, killing the other. If you would rather kill someone today than be killed, drive an SUV and let the little runt hit the ditch…
