It’s better to begin a conversation with a “hello”, instead of a “hell no.: — Grandpa Wahl, aka “the preacher”
I remembered this on my walk this morning listening to an exchange between two native texans. I noticed that Texans are given to guilt, almost reflexively. This doesn’t seem surprising now after considering it additionally, after all most texans believe they and you began in sin and live everyday in an effort to overcome their sinful ways.
This means they also are quickly suspicious. Their doubts are of you, not of them.
