Her paintings are remarkable in a variety of ways. Although they are created only with black oil paint on linen, they do not read as monochromatic works at all because of the infintessimal ways that light plays upon them. They are both serene and active, have incredible depth, yet are flat, and have a marvelous sensuality about them.
