The Economist asks “What Went Wrong” then, anxiously appends, “What Did Not.” The appendix to this capital collapse is what will fail the next time, because at its core the foundation is flawed. Any civil engineer would know that continual fixing of the core means there is a design flaw to the dam.
Capitalism is at bay, but those who believe in it must fight for it. For all its flaws, it is the best economic system man has invented yet.
