People constantly get the direction of photography scales wrong. Photography began big and handmade, progressing toward small machine made. Big film first, then smaller and smaller film, until there is no film at all.
This mistake shows itself as people introduce themselves into photography’s history with a small camera, then they buy larger, more expensive, more flexible cameras and equipment. Their history isn’t THE history.
