Neighbor Hoody Watch, Anyone?

“Stand Your Ground”

‘Hog Day’

In Florida, if you are afraid, you may shoot the person you fear. Sounds ’bout right for the southern soul. Ooops, condition in this game, you must be standing still and white, while your target must be moving, and non-white. I may not have the rules correct, maybe they include fences, gates, and, yah, hoodies.

Rather than dither, why not do what we would have done, when there was a strong sense of liberal; when demonstration was over meaning, not money. We would have organized a watch of our own. We would have surrounded the “compound of cowards” every weekend. Taken down their license plates; photographed them and their cars. Every car, every person entering the “Compound Of Cowards”, would have been greeted by a Hoody Wearing Watcher. These COCs would have had to call the Police, who would have burned through the overtime budget within a month, thereby requiring what all republics fear — tax hikes…

Don’t Be So Aynal

Ayn Rand’s Zombie continues to clasp the microphone.
She, via her books, remains the darling. Once of the left, the unknown left, yet they abandoned her because they couldn’t follow, only believe, partially. Her acolytes kept her story, actually their money stream flowing. And now, the Conservatarians preach from her hymnal, but not all of it.

Wouldn’t you think that a belief has a core, a central principle from which its keys are developed. I do. Ayn Rand’s core is atheism. No GOD. Most conservatives, tea totalizers, these folks new to power, yet devoted to Aynisms — yep, they are Aynal about her thoughts, her Reasons. Why do they accept her conclusions about a market, but reject her core. They eat the fruit while ignoring the tree or her knowledge.
This isn’t the way to paradise. Please, allow me to introduce herself.
