This is the back of an Army Pay Stub… Nice that it showed who made what … maybe we still tell the troops the cost of their stripes and bars. When I see this I realize again how foolish the Friedman-esque statement about “Mercenaries” was. Remember, most of the soldiers in Vietnam when this Pay Stub was issued signed up. They were “RA”, not “US.”payStub.pngI was one of the very few draftees in that first build up. I knew no other “US” in my MOS in my unit.
