wondering, as I read new, and renew old reads — how it is that everything changes, yet seems that so much remains the same. new pavement that goes the same places. new game boards with the same old pieces. as though we recycle scripts, not always the best ones.

cities grow in the direction of the young. limit your young and your city stops growing. the desire to bound them is based upon perceptions of failure; mostly your failures. you didn’t become young soon enough, instead you became old.
too bad we don’t get young sooner, earlier, so we could be young longer; maybe long enough to grow beyond being such young idiots.
