KISS This

Finance fails. Finance is saved. Recession begins in finance. Recession ends in finance. Government, first put money into the sectors that have recovered first. If they had used SBA or “government” banks to distribute money around the broken institutions, more benefit would have occurred. Water must lift from the bottom. Capital is a matter of accumulation so is best aggregated from many small sources. Government is the only way to collect or to distribute widely enough, quickly enough. That our government dosen’t only means that for whatever reason we are afraid of democracy of, by, and for….

Recessions are not ended by the market. They do end, but by something outside the market.

Where government stepped in to stop the recession, it ended. Markets can’t save you, they can’t save them-self. They can’t even get the price right. Every trade, everyday, every time, wrong, but commissioned.

Grand Zero

A story

in which our hero, Captain Capital, saves the world. By “the world” we mean himself.

The fire began in his house, so the klaxons rang. The fire was in his money vault, it hadn’t been equipped with sprinklers. Nor was it monitored by the “night watchman” trained by the great Nozickary. So the fear spread faster than the flames. Fear First from heart to heart, then fire came house by house. Mainstreet was ablaze. The piles of money hoarded by Captain Capital were great; far greater than any on Mainstreet imagined or knew.

Lucky for US. By “US” we mean Captain Capital. Luckily we put out the fire, then set out to replace Captain Capital’s money, so his vault could keep him occupied and away from Mainstreet. Some of US had thought Captain Capital would help Mainstreet put out its fire, but he had already begun celebrating his genius at having come through such a devastating event. He had taken residence once again at Grand Zero, setting out his guardians to keep his money away from Mainstreet.

In other times, by other sayers, it is said that “where you put the water is where things grow”, that “to raise the boat use water”, that “small boats rise with less water.” But the story Captain Capital tells is that he is “seed corn” and his vaults are seeds you need. Maybe next time US. By “US” I mean You and Me. Maybe the next time we will put out the fires that will come to his vault, by spreading the water more widely. Spread the water into the small boat yards. Spread the water into more shops and houses.

Let Captain Capital fill his own vault next time. Let him put out the fire in his house using his own piss and sweat.
