as the old ways become re-used, re-newed, many of the old timers expect praise, reward, acclaim for having learned this before you were born.
as they near extinction, they crave distinction; expect it because they lasted. Fearful that you will not remember them. You shouldn’t. Theirs aren’t the first steps from the edge. Yours might be the last; they are the ones that carry you into your future.
