After something has taken enough shape for the proper others to respond, then it can become a group effort. Some people are better left as initiators others as improver, most merely imitators, mimics
They must be able to see the machine, then improve it, in an appropriate understandable exchange form/format formulation
if just the re-production of the scene, fully, accurately, then pure mechanics it is a technical process subject to the rules and laws of technology and economics – not the domain of an artist.

These are two books — published within the same city; within a year of each other; both about the same topic: photography. From my stance back in that time, they were from the same source, drinking the same waters. The counter force was also located in Rochester, just minutes from each of these two places. The difference between, among them, are the pathways of the recurring challengers of photography.
