The econocaste has discovered that the word “fungible” has power. It can be used to making more Koch Suckers in the politcix. It can glaze over the eyes of journalists. Doesn’t it sound so precise, even scientific.
And of course money is fungible. It can flow freely, just like water. It can, like water, also be held in containers. It can be pooled up and transported. That is why funding regulations often carry reporting criteria. That is the evidence of transport, of containment. These regs could be written as percent of total. Just think more.
Just accept the premise that we cannot fund portions of government because of the fungibility of money and therefore it allows those people getting the funds to do immoral acts, primarily have an abortion. Accepted. We have to withdraw funding from the military since soldiers have abortions using the money received. Or… see it works because it is logical, rigorous and complete.
