Goog searches for photography fall into 3 categories, and “all others” —

  • equipment price, or new release review
  • how to — use software; solve trouble with (computer/sofware/) configuration
  • a name. usually, this is of a camera or lens; also a photographer.

All Others

The topics that interest the practicing artist, or established commercial photographer are the outliers of search. They are, therefore, the ones which another form of search would be useful, and provide open field opportunity.

Just a thought. A few odd, separate events would be explained by a purchase (monetization offer) for Large Format Forum, a gathering of more potential than actual value.
Or, maybe, LFF is going to transition to a new “sponsor,” as he transitions from his faltering consulting business. The common pathway of forum ownership is as a second chance career. Build a little hobby into a medium business.
