a mix of “chroma” set, church set, from the persistent set: Wo ist Tejas — from the long “in-process” edit-table.

some are alternates, none of these are meant as alternations, nor alterations.

Q: Are these different photographs?

As impression changes, is that a different photograph. I frequently make several impressions of a situation.During my film years, learning that multiple exposures provided more darkroom possibilities–such as combination printing.

As thought experiment (better if you do this with film) expose an underexposed street scene of light toned moving people. Combine that with a normally exposed scene… The movement will become a ghost image in the final print. Ghost won’t contribute to shadows …of course, layers and blending is a comparable “drop-in” “drop-out” solution to the “shoot-thru” glass, ghost shots that occurred frequently enough not to be a surprise in other eras.

Seems it was a planned series of posts... much collected references, along with short impressions. Berman's Semina Culture seems to have been assigned a Tuesday date. Wonder why I never finished the set.

Wallace Berman,(February 18, 1926 – February 18, 1976 [50]. Key terms in his work: Semina, a mail art publication published between 1955 and 1964, and Aleph, his long term film making project. It runs only 6 minutes, but took him from 1958 til 1976 to make. Stan Brackhage salvaged the 8mm film with a conversion to 16mm to be shown.

He appeared in Easy Rider (1969). Berman died on his 50th birthday, a prediction from childhood. He was killed by a drunk driver.
