in zipping through the emails and clicking on many links I come across many things and always intend to save them to show them here .. mostly I don’t; they get im’d or em’d to small numbers of realones.

The notes in the patent are more useful to me than the formulations of the patent .. The notes to Kodak cover how to package a dry formulation of some thing like a D76 ..

this patent provides the process method for achieving a very high speed emulsion without excessive development such as you would get if you were using microphen — foma’s developer of choice for their EI ratings …

Maxima, when introduced, was a direct sales item… Fuji USA sold it directly, assuming it was a specialist item that premier labs (5 in US) would sell as a premium exhibition product. After COVID that changed. Many (3) of those 5 switched to offering inkjet solutions. One San Francisco lab had sold their much revered Poly after moving. Exhibition printing demanded larger more flexible surfacing not available with silver-halide paper.

Now, in 2026, it seems B&H, the home to the weekender sells Maxima.
